Doncaster Rovers have signed winger Leon Ayinde from Ipswich Town on a two-year deal. The 21-year-old Irishman began his career at Cork City before heading to Portman Road in January 2023. He spent a season on loan in the National League with Rochdale, before joining Boreham Wood on loan in February 2026, where he played in the National League play-off final. Manager Grant McCann said the Republic of Ireland Under-21 international was "a really dynamic, exciting wide forward" who had been on his radar for some time. "He's an exciting player, he wants to get at people, run at people," he added. Doncaster Rovers are looking forward to seeing Ayinde in action.
