Doncaster Rovers will attempt to end a damaging run of three straight defeats when they visit Peterborough United in League One this Saturday. The fixture at the ABAX Stadium presents a chance to climb from the foot of the table, where Rovers currently sit 24th with just three points from six games.

Their recent form shows a team struggling for results. A 1-0 loss at AFC Wimbledon last Saturday was preceded by home defeats to Huddersfield Town and Plymouth Argyle. The sequence has left them with a goal difference of minus three, having conceded nine times this season.

Peterborough, positioned 21st, have also found wins hard to come by but are unbeaten in their last two outings, drawing 3-3 with Barnsley and 1-1 with MK Dons. Their last starting lineup featured a 4-2-3-1 shape with Harrison Leonard leading the attack.

Doncaster manager Grant McCann is expected to consider changes after the latest setback. His side last used a 3-4-3 formation at Wimbledon, with Tommy Simkin in goal and a front three of Luke Ayinde, Aidan May and Brandon Hanlan. Ayinde scored in the 1-3 loss to Huddersfield, one of only six goals Rovers have managed so far.

The match kicks off at 3pm UK time on 19 September. It is the next fixture in a congested schedule that Rovers must handle to improve their position. The team's upcoming games are listed on our fixtures page.
